I have a larger property & am surrounded by many trees. During Fall I have to go out at least 2x a week for a good 2hrs plus to leaf blow. I do thru about 4 batteries to do task. I purchased this new plus version & am happy w it. No, it does not last longer than old version, but is alot lighter in weight thus charges in half the time the older version does which is important to me in carrying blower all around & the need to have at least 4 batteries charged to do job w/o interruption. Also feel safer being new ones state they have better cooling system so it does not overheat. They work everytime. It has a long run time. I cut around my house 3 time on a charge. I ran mine out of charge yesterday. First time I did not finish trimming and it was only due to a section of high weeds and grass I tackled. After cutting those weeds I think it has more torque than a gas trimmer. That is why the Battery is $140.00. Those cheap leaser units are for mild trimming at best. **Q: Can you leave battery on change all night** A: Yes you can leave the battery on the charger over night. Once the battery is fully charged, the charger will switch to a maintain mode. **Q: Why is it i can buy an all new ego blower with a battery and charger, and its tje same cost as a replacement battery?** A: Because it's how they make money. They got U buy the whole set for cheap then when battery die (they already timed how long battery will last), U HAVE to BUY the new one for replacement.
