Your Bose Series 1 will make a couple of noises as the adapter creates a link, and when nothing is playing, there is a modest amount of quiescent noise, but when music is playing, this is not noticeable, It is a brilliant little piece of kit, opening up your Bose to many modern Bluetooth sources. **Q: Does it allow in car controls (track skip etc) to control the music from a samsung phone?i know my jag xf has an ipod input and they work with an ipod** A: Yes. I have a phone holder which goes into my CD player slot and able to control on my music on my phone from there. **Q: Does this work with Sony ipod docking station icf-c1ipmk2** A: Yes this device works well with my Sony **Q: Would it work on a B&W zeppelin** A: No it won't work with the B&W Zeppelin. I have a mini Zeppelin and have tried it with a similar BT adapter. I think the problem is that the Zeppelin does not power the adapter. The adapter works well with a Bose Soundeck II. But if it's any compensation, the Zeppelin has a better sound on direct ipod connection! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Resurrect your old iPod Speaker Dock. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 10 December 2017* I was a bit sceptical about buying one of these, having bought one a year ago, which simply went pop the moment I plugged it in, but I decided to take the plunge again. I really didn't want to spend over £20 on one, despite my head telling me I should.This arrived in good time, and worked straight out of the box. I am using it with a Klipsch IGroove iPod dock, that was my late fathers. Who uses an iPod dock these days, as tech has moved on so much, but with these little plugin devices, you can resurrect speaker docks that would otherwise be redundant. Bluetooth connection is very easy, and the sound quality is excellent, taking into account any limitations of the Klipsch.Only one slight negativity. We have it in the bedroom, and as a result the little red/blue indicator light on the top edge, which lets you know what its doing, do tend to light the room up at night, as they constantly flash red/blue. But I simply covered it with a small bit of black insulating tape, so not really a problem. However, better late than never in my opinion. I bought this product a while ago. It’s TERRIBLE! It didn’t even play one full track once installed and continued to cut out on every track I tried to play for about 4 or 5 tracks then failed to play at all. I bought this to give my Bose docking station a new life. It completely failed in my experience. DO NOT BUY. As I no longer had the packaging to return it straight away. I contacted the seller and they asked me to send them a video of what was happening despite me explaining. I didn’t have sap W in my phone at that time and couldn’t afford to delete anything from it so days, weeks then months passed and it’s fair to say I simply forgot to follow this up. However, if the seller had enough just took my word for it and changed it, or offered a refund then that would have been the end of it. If you want to buy one Of these, buy the LAYEN product. It’s more expensive but works great for Bose docking station and the service is excellent from LAYEN.
