I did not buy it for fissures as commonly used for. It is also used to rub into the body for pain relief. I've been using it for several weeks now for arm/shoulder and get no pain relief whats-so-ever. Maybe it is just for fissures, I don't know. It does have an odor that I find offensive but it doesn't bother many people so that's a personal thing. It was horribly expensive but my pain was so bad I thought I'd have a go at it.
