I got aptx adaptive working with that adapter. **Q: It works with ps5?** A: NO. It stays in HFP mode and all audio sounds terrible. Do not buy this for the PS5. **Q: Can this be plugged into a dac like the btr5 to add aptx adaptive as a codec option?** A: I have not plugged this into a Dac, however your computer views it as a USB audio device. So as long as your DAC supports USB audio I can't see any reasons it would not work. No software is needed.
