All you need to start making authentic Mexican tortilla's, with the Altura Mexico Tortilla Makers Set. Save money without the need to buy each item separately, because each kit contains a flour corn tortilla press, tortilla warmer server and a rustic Mexican style comal pan for heating your handmade tortillas, along with a bonus small recipe book with instructions on how to make tortillas and two recipes. Note: The comal is made of carbon steel and may arrive with rust patches; this is normal and just needs to be cured. First scrub off the rust with a steel wool or coarse salt, if needed also wash with warm water and mild dish soap but only scrub with soft bristle brush or sponge. Season coat with vegetable oil or cooking oil. Place the comal in a cool oven. Turn the temperature up to 350 degrees and bake for about one hour. Turn the oven off and let it cool until the comal is cool to the touch. Use a towel to rub off the oil until the comal has a light sheen remaining.
