The clasp is highly polished, well made,and strong stainless steel ,protected by a removable clear plastic film. It took about 5 minutes to fit to the strap of my Seiko Velatura GMT which is 20mm wide at the clasp by approx 3mm thick. Once it was fitted and adjusted for length, the simple fold over clasp with two button release works a treat. This will increase the life of the strap as there are no undue stresses put on the leather. Looks good. Highly recommended, would use again. Update, just bought a second one of these in gold tone.
