I wanted to replace some other, less flattering shorts from Academy. The medium is more fitted and I'm happy to see that the pockets don't flare out on these. Even with the snug fit these have so much stretch, I love that they're not binding or riding up after sitting. I'll probably get another pair but in M instead of L. The large fits pretty loose but so comfortable. I'm wearing these today for running errands because the 5" length is perfect for my daily wear with a basic T. The built in panty fits really well, doesn't pull or ride up. Excellent stretch and stitching seems like it will hold up for quite some time, good quality. If I had an opportunity to go swimming, I might try a medium for pool wear as the large might slide down. Review: Comfortable swim bottom - This was exactly what I was looking for. Perfect length and high waisted. Fabric is of great quality and soft, fast drying, very comfortable, non see through. I’ve washed it a few times with no fading. The cut is perfect, no riding up as you walk. ## Features - 5'' Inseam & V slits design: women swim shorts with flattering length, allow you move freely. V slits design lengthenings the look of your legs - Tummy Control: 4 inch high waisted waistband offers full coverage for this boardshorts - Two Slant Pockets: generous room for your phones or other belongings, free your hands - Built-in Brief Liner: soft mesh liner, no need to worry about friction - Versatile Shorts: it is suit well with your bathing suit, bikini top, tankini top, swimming bra, and perfect for swimming, surfing, beach. However, it is long enough to wear anywhere you wanted ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0BN56BPRM | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Apparel Closure Type | Drawstring | | Apparel Fabric Stretch | High Stretch | | Apparel Fabric Weight Class | Lightweight | | Best Sellers Rank | #6,650 in Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry ( See Top 100 in Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry ) #3 in Women's Board Shorts | | Brand Name | baleaf | | Care instructions | Machine wash cold, Wash with like colors, Do not bleach, Tumble dry low, Do not iron, Do not dry clean | | Closure type | Drawstring | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 4,802 Reviews | | Fabric Type | UPGRADED Ultra Elastic: 76% Nylon 24% Spandex, 4-Ways Stretch, UPF 50+, Chlorine-Resistant, Quick-Dry | | Fabric type | UPGRADED Ultra Elastic: 76% Nylon 24% Spandex, 4-Ways Stretch, UPF 50+, Chlorine-Resistant, Quick-Dry | | Fit Type | Regular | | Fit to Size Sentiment | Neutral | | Garment Size Country | United States | | Import Designation | Imported | | Item Highlight | Tummy Control Swim Bottoms with Lined; UV/UPF 50+ Protection; ideal for beach, pool, beach & hiking and versatile casual wear | | Item Type Name | Board Shorts | | Lining Description | Soft Mesh | | Material Type | Nylon | | Neck Style | High Neck | | Number of Items | 1 | | Occasion Type | beach, kayaking, paddleboarding, pool, surfing | | Origin | Imported | | Pattern | Solid | | Product Benefits | Quick drying and noise free material protects from sun burning | | Product Care Instructions | Machine wash cold, Wash with like colors, Do not bleach, Tumble dry low, Do not iron, Do not dry clean | | Rise Style | High Rise | | Size | X-Large | | Sleeve Length Description | Short Sleeve | | Sleeve Type | Short Sleeve | | Special Size Type | 5" Inseam | | Strap Type | Non-Adjustable | | Style Name | Board Shorts | | Swimwear Bottom Form | Board Short | | Swimwear Form Type | Bottom Only | | Swimwear Top Form | Tank Top | | Ultraviolet Protection Factor | UPF 50+ | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Waist Size | 36.5 inches | ## Images ![Women's 3"/5"/7" Swim Shorts High Waisted Board Quick Dry Pocket - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61ASCen5wtL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size, Special Size Type** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Im 29" waiste (sz large) 36" hips (sz med) which size do i get?** A: I have a 35 inch waist and 47 inch hips. I bought the x-large and it fits perfect. Hope that helps. The material is forgiving. **Q: Is the turquois color more green as pictured?** A: Hello, the color will be just as the picture shows, which is near in green color. hope it helps! **Q: Would these shorts work for running? Specifically, if I carried my phone in the pocket, would it fit snugly/stay in place, or would it bounce around?** A: In my opinion, the fabric is too thin to carry a phone while running. I don't know if it would fall out of the pocket, but would bounce around a lot while running. **Q: Hey.. I'm 5'4 and weigh about 146 lbs. would a medium size fit ?** A: I am about an inch shorter than you and about 10 pounds heavier. I have the XL size and they fit me perfectly. I’m wondering if a L would be better for you. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great daily wear *by L***A on August 27, 2026* Update: I loved the first pair so much after wearing I bought 3 more colors, but in medium.
