Review: Works Great For A Lot Of Lights - I bought this to power my MR16 6W(50W equivalent) lights. We've got 12 spots in one room. We do use this as a dimmer too. At first I tried just installing the lights using the old transformers and we got flickering. I ordered this and it works perfectly. The 12 lights have a total load draw of 72W and so far I've got no issues. Per the instructions you should stay at or below 80% of capacity which is 84W. Be advised it's very hard to get the grey cover off. It feels and sounds like you're breaking the plastic. You're not. Just stick a large flat blade screwdriver in one of the holes and start to pry it open. It'll snap and crackle, but that's normal, for this transformer. We have a dimmer on these 12 lights. Bought three of these to replace a mix of older 12v transformers intended for halogens and one of which gave up the ghost when new LED bulbs were installed. Well I experienced both of these problems, also there was no packaging or instructions so I had no idea how to open it to connect the wires, I had to log into amazon and look at the pictures to try and figure it out.
