I purchase these every year for Senior night for the team I coach. They are perfect! They have fit size XS-4X adults. For the smaller adults we have fashioned it to look nice by tucking and pinning the "crossed" section at the waist. We also pin it to their uniform at the shoulder because they are performing in it. (to keep it in place). But if you are just wearing it to an event you probably don't need to pin it at the shoulder.
