The barrels are oak - so it gives an oak smoke flavor. I think I can taste bourbon in the meat, but it is probably in my head. It does make a nice smoke though during the process. I buy the 20 Lb bucket - better price. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐ Short changed on the quantity of the product *by on Reviewed in Saudi Arabia 29 August 2025* The bag says 180 cubic inches. Not even close. For it to be 180 cubic inches then the wood should be at least 18x10x1”. At best i get 9x8x1”. Not even half the amount that you are saying is in the bag. Great aroma on steaks *by on Reviewed in the United States 21 July 2026* Gives BBQ and brand now name. Love it if you do it right. Go light and build it up to where you like it. Takes a few tries. Recommended. Price: A little expensive. ## Frequently Bought Together - Midwest Barrel Company Authentic Barrel BBQ Smoking Wood (Bourbon Barrel Smoking Wood Chunks) – Slow Burning Wood Chunks for BBQ, Grilling, and Smoking – Premium Oak Wood for Smoky Flavor in Meats - Fire & Flavor Cherry Wood Chunks for Smoking and Grilling - All-Natural, Long-Lasting with a Mildly Sweet Flavor - Large Chunk Wood Chips for Smokers,Red --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/506135473-midwest-barrel-co-est-2015-company-authentic-bbq-smoking-wood](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/506135473-midwest-barrel-co-est-2015-company-authentic-bbq-smoking-wood) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-22*
