Within 5 days of acknowledgement of my email, I had a new Airframe! This one included a 3M dash mount to place on the dash first, then mount the Airbase Pro to that. This should help provide a much more durable seal for textured dashes. Support said any residue from this sticker could be removed with alcohol and should not look any different than the Airbase Pro itself. I'm a bit leery of trying this but it may come to that. Still a great experience with Kenu Support! Thank you! In the mean time, I've the sticky pad of the Airbase Pro with soap and water per the instructions on the website but all that managed to do was to leave soap residue on the gel pad. Even when I used a scrub brush, there was residue left behind which I think prevented me from getting a good seal. I then tried cleaning the bottom gel pad with alcohol, let it dry and then remounted. That solved my issue. Since I put that in place, I've had no issues whatsoever. It is absolutely worth trying to clean the bottom of the gel pad as well as your dashboard with alcohol. If that fails, write Kenu support and they should take care of you. I think it's only good for a 1 time use. Instructions say that you can always reuse it after using hot water & soap but it doesn't really work. Its really sturdy when place on & chances of falling are unlikely unless the surface isn't clean properly.
