Bad AverMedia!! *by K***V on 28 July 2016* First of all the three stars refer to the product and not the service provided by Amazon, which is excellent. First of all let me say that AverMedia's products are aimed at all of Europe, this product says it can receive HD channels and technically it can; however, only through a DVB-T standard and that is the key part. In the UK DVB-T is only used for standard definition (SD) channels and a separate standard is used for HD channels, the reason why I'm not sure; the HD channels are transmitted using DVB-T2, in the UK. I realised this after I bought this product, and thankfully Amazon have refunded me the cost of this item; so if you don't care about HD channels (unlike me) get this product, it is a decent price and works well, but if you do care look for one with DVB-T2 capabilities there are many but they do cost generally above £45 (there is an August USB TV tuner capable of HD channels for £28, but their products aren't built well unlike AverMedia or Hauppauge).Also the software AverMedia employ to use their devices aren't good, its called AverTV; I would recommend using another software like NextPVR, Kodi or SichboPVR. The aerial supplied is terrible, I'd really only buy a USB TV tuner with the intention of using an outdoor high gain aerial, but if you don't have that option defiantly buy another, better mini aerial with this product.
