These sockets are low profile in design and are made for more direct transfer of impacts, tighter spaces and increased durability, or add an extension for longer reach. Most ppl don't know this, but chrome moly is awesome for impact sockets, but is terrible for bits. The chrome moly bits and bit sockets bend, twist, and warp with use because they are softer. Sunex makes all of their bit sockets out of chrome moly and they are terrible, trust me. Obviously the bigger sizes are going to be much more durable, like sizes over 10mm. The ones under 10mm don't hold up well at all though. S2 steel is far superior when it comes to bit sockets and bits. These are made of s2 and hold up 10x better than the chrome moly versions. Astro's hex, triple square, and torx are all made of s2 steel despite them looking like impacts, which they are impact rated too. They are amazing products and I highly recommend them. These nano sets are so comprehensive and so versatile, and are worth every penny!! Each set is backed by Astro's lifetime warranty as well.
