Perfect for Embroidery - cross stitch. These are my favourite little pair of scissors and I use them even when I am sewing up knitted garments. I originally bought them for fussy cutting of paper and card for decoupage (cutting pictures out of paper) for craft. They are beautifully sharp and because of this a little tip is to poke them into a cork when not in use as you may injure yourself on them. I would recommend these to anyone and all of the Fiskars range of scissors. Please note they are very small (comparable with a pair of nail scissors. Hope this has been helpful to you. **Q: Has anyone ordered these recently and received the 10cm scissors, or did you receive the 12.5 cm ones? Wrong size sent to me & I want to reorder** A: I ordered the 10cm embroidery scissors as stated in the description but received the 13cm needlework scissors. Would like to reorder but don't want to receive the wrong ones again! **Q: Does this scissors have a curved blade?** A: No, the blade is straight. I believe the nail scissors have a curved blade. That is why I ordered these instead. (I use them as nail scissors). **Q: can they be used as nail scissors** A: I have a slightly older pair of Wilkinson Sword nail scissors (after they were acquired by Fiskars, 15 yrs?) and they are identical to these, at least to the eye cannot say for the steel etc. In fact I was trying to find them to buy more for other people as they keep borrowing mine!
