Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Kentucky Bluegrass Mix is designed for full sun and light shade, and has medium drought resistance with high durability. It can be used to seed a new lawn or overseed an existing lawn. For best results, apply this Kentucky Bluegrass grass seed in the spring or fall when daily average soil temperatures are consistently between 55°F and 70°F or air temperatures are between 60°F and 80°F. We recommend using a Scotts spreader to apply this product (please refer to spreader settings on product label). DIY homeowners should water the yard daily or as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall. Review: It worked for me (eventually) - Good price for the quantity and easy to spread, I just couldn't get this brand to grow for the life of me. I've purchased grass seed in the past (different brand), and it was much easier to grow. If it suddenly sprouts up, I'll return and update this review, but if after 3 weeks its still the same I'll just buy another brand and try again. UPDATE: I initially thought that I had expired or bad seed, but it is growing now. It seems to take a little longer to sprout, maybe it's the blue stuff they cover the grass seed in? Anyway, it took some time, but it worked for me.

Good price for the quantity and easy to spread, I just couldn't get this brand to grow for the life of me. I've purchased grass seed in the past (different brand), and it was much easier to grow. If it suddenly sprouts up, I'll return and update this review, but if after 3 weeks its still the same I'll just buy another brand and try again. UPDATE: I initially thought that I had expired or bad seed, but it is growing now. It seems to take a little longer to sprout, maybe it's the blue stuff they cover the grass seed in? Anyway, it took some time, but it worked for me.

I planted this seed after raking up all of the dead grass and then seeded the 40 sq feet by hand. Afterwards I placed top soil over the seed so that the birds wouldn't eat the seed. I watered the area every morning and after 10 days I could see the grass rising from the planted area. This grass is very green and is growing at the rate of my normal grass. It has been 3 weeks and I am still watering this area once every morning and it is growing very well. I still have 80% of the seed left and will use it in the early Spring on other areas in my lawn that require seeding. I would highly recommend this grass seed/fertilizer mix as I am very particular and want to make sure the new grass grows and looks the same as the rest of my lawn. Good luck!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not sure if it's worth the money.

I bought this brand because it's supposed to be good. It even says it has coating to keep it wet longer so it will germinate faster. I did my side and back lawn or should I say dirt? Well, I watered it like it said in ad every single night for one month. I even soaked it because we are in a drought right now to make sure it stayed wet and at night so the sun wouldn't dry the water up.Even made pools of water after 2 weeks of nothing. Making sure it stays wet. Still nothing! I don't know what to tell ya! It's sure taking its time. I've owned my home for 31 years. Had to seed a few times. Cheaper brands only took a few weeks to come up. I reread the bag. It says it might come up in 30 to 60 days. Are you kidding me? Two months of watering every night? Now a water band is on so I stopped watering it. I can't imagine tying myself down to rush home for two months every night to water a lawn that might not come up at all. Oh well I guess I'll see what happens now and update if there is a change.
