Fiddle Time Scales 1: Pieces, puzzles, scales, and arpeggios

Good layout easy to understand.

This was recommended by my daughter’s violin teacher. She said that this is a good book for practising scales.Her comments were that usually these types of books are quite dry.This one actually includes lots of fun exercises and my 10-year-old daughter is definitely happy with it. This is her first year of learning the violin and it’s her third book so still for beginners in my opinion.

Great book to have alongside Fiddle Time Joggers, suitable once approaching Grade 1 and will take you to Grade 3 or 4 scale wise.Makes scales a bit more fun (although scales are scales, so limited as to how fun they can be)

Such good books. I am an adult who has come back to learning the violin. I purchased all the Fiddle Time books and have been really pleased with them. The tune books come with a CD, which is great, as I am teaching myself. However, through doing this, I am able to easily tackle the Scales books. The scales are set out in an interesting format, which makes them more enjoyable and easy for anyone to understand what value scales have when playing tunes. Scales are very necessary, but these books make them fun, too. Great books for both children and adults.

This book works so well with the students they like it and it develops the musical skills and knowledge they need for grade 1 and 2 in a fun way.
