## Description

Product Description Season 1:At the end of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Sarah Connor vanquished the Terminator sent from the future to kill her 15-year-old son, John. Sarah and John now find themselves alone in a very dangerous, complicated world. Fugitives from the law, they are confronted with the reality that still more enemies from the future and the present could attack at any moment. Sarah stops running and goes on the offensive against an ever-evolving technological enemy bent on destroying her life, and perhaps the world. John knows that he may be the future savior of mankind, but he is not yet ready to take on the mantle of leadership that he's told is his destiny. The Sarah Connor Chronicles represents an exciting reinvention of the Terminator franchise, in which the strong and intrepid Sarah discovers that protecting her son and stopping the rise of the machines is more difficult than she had ever imagined.Season 2: The blockbuster Terminator movie franchise moves to television in this intense, action-adventure drama series which takes place after the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Sarah Connor and her teenage son, John, find themselves alone in a very dangerous, complicated world. Fugitives from the law, they must evade pursuers from the future, and the present, in today's Los Angeles, relentlessly battling to save themselves and the world. desertcart.co.uk Review The pressure was really on The Sarah Connor Chronicles right from the start. The first spin-off from the extraordinary Terminator franchise, it picks up after the events of the second film, and finds Lena Headey in the title role, who--along with her 15-year old son, John--sets about trying to save the world from the impending threat of Skynet. Along the way too, they encounter Summer Glau (whom there’s a strong chance you’ll know from Firefly), who steps into the shoes of Cameron, a bodyguard Terminator who helps fight off the many threats they face. She’s some piece of work. Very deliberately paced, and intricately woven to make sure it safely fits within the Terminator universe, The Sarah Connor Chronicles works a great deal better than you’d have any right to expect. Tightly scripted, and with a terrific performance by Headey in the central role, the show packs plenty of action and narrative into the nine episodes of its maiden season, and it certainly whets the appetite for more. Perhaps the biggest compliment to be paid, though, is that The Sarah Connor Chronicles is a worthy companion and follow-up to the first two Terminator films, and one that genuinely expands and deepens the franchise. It’ll be fascinating to see where the show goes next. --Jon Foster

Review: Cameron!!! Not that Cameron! - What a surprise this was, I was looking for some TV series to watch and bought this, Dollhouse and Fringe... I have to say i didn't expect this to be the best of the 3! In fact this has turned out to be the best TV series I have seen for years, probably since Firefly, another cancelled series, same network! Absolutely genius decision to set this right after T2 and completely ignore the crappy films, as was the decision to cast Summer Glau as the terminator Cameron, such a nuanced performance, she had me gripped in every scene she was in. I don't think I am alone in saying Camerons development throughout the series and her relationship with John Conner was the highlight of the series. There aren't many series where I would rewatch a scene straight away because it was so awesome. The writing, overall, is surprisingly good... the length of a series compared to films allows for much more ground to be covered. In the Terminator canon I actually rate this series under T1 and ever so slightly above T2. It is worth noting here that John Connor is way better here than in T2. The ending to season 2 is amazing, such a shame it ends here, you can tell how good season 3 would have been. I don't know too much about how this was cancelled, but there are some things that unfortunately worked against it... first of all the Terminator name, a TV series of a well known movie franchise usually ends up as a cheap cash in, it's what people expected, so they didn't bother watching, especially when Terminator films were still being made. The Pilot wasn't that great, although I do think it gets good very early on, unusual for a new series. Mid second season slump, i guess this is the problem with 23 episode long seasons, it's difficult to maintain the quality throughout the entire season. Personally I didn't mind these Sara centric episodes, but a lot of people gave up here. I can't recommend this series enough, if you want terminator of the week episodes don't bother, this has drama, ongoing story arcs, great characters developing over time... and of course, Cameron.
Review: This was a good buy. - In Blu-ray it delivered this title in Terminator form, for me. Summer Glau was excellent as the machine. For me too, this was Lena Headey's best or most natural performance. I think she excelled on the energy of the series. The whole cast though, put in a good performance. Terminator - The Sarah Connor Chronicles (T: TSCC), was a great inclusion in the Terminator series. It should not have stopped after series 2. Although, it was extremely well wrapped up in the last episode. I think T: TSCC's only criticism, could be that in the second series it appeared to go off tangent. There was investigation into what appeared to be UFOs. (I have in fact seen the series take criticism for that. People saying that the series lost the plot so they stopped watching. That bringing in UFOs was too far off the right track.) However if they had continued watching, they would have seen what it was about. It was resolved very neatly. T: TSCC started so strong for me. It never really let go, and I don't understand the loss of interest in it. There were moments when it appeared to meander, or go off track. However it all added up. Finally, I think T: TSCC suffered from people wanting Terminator 2 every episode. I think that's why it lost some of its appeal. I think people want to much though, and no-one can make T2 every episode. Otherwise every last one of us, would have watched the 'T2 every episode' series. ........ T: TSCC - however is a strong Terminator franchise entry. I am upset there will not be anymore, but it did wrap up exceptionally well. Meaning I feel lucky we got T: TSCC. I would recommend buy the Blu-ray version too, because it looked great to me in that format. Maybe it's not as strong in SD, as it is in HD. Isn't all TV material like that though.
