Was considering whether to buy this or the Baratza encore** A: I am not a hardcore expert on espresso brewing, however I do like it and this is the kind of coffee I prepare at home. I have a DeLonghi Dedica espresso machine and this unit is working very well with it. I love the fact that I freshly grind the exact amount for 1 coffee directly in the holder (of course there is a bit of coffee falling outside but it is minimal). However if you want to change grinding conditions (time and fineness) often do get the more expensive model which has much better controls.Riccardo **Q: is it compatible with Delonghi dedicated portafilter** A: The portafilter holder it comes with is only ever so slightly big enough. It’s very loose and probably best to just hold it because the portafilter will slip out whilst grinding.
