I bought them for "cord taming" when I travel. The reel would not wind like a retractable cord winder. I had to manually roll the cord on. Once it was on I could pull the cord part way out and it would stop at that point, but to retract you will need to manually roll it back on to the reel. **Q: Will this work for a phone cord?
