I was worried it would be tacky when it came in, but I was proved wrong!! They are so lovely and look nice off and nicer on. There’s a beautiful flickering candlelight mode and just an on mode. Works great as house decor, I also set it on my dining table during ladies brunch! They do not come with batteries. When they come in, you unscrew the bottoms and pop in 2 AA batteries and when you screw it back on it automatically turns on so easy to set up. Comes with a remote to control them. These flameless candles look great for the price. When the lights are on you can very easily see that these are not real candles, but when the lights are off and you are viewing from a normal distance, they look really nice. They did not come with batteries, but they seem to last quite a while once the batteries are installed. I love that they come with a remote and you are able to set a time for the lights to turn off. I think the timer helps conserve the batteries. I have noticed when the batteries start to die, they do get dimmer.
