Most were just the wrong shape and NONE were tall enough. I measured carefully and found this one. I couldn't be happier, I am over the moon with this. It functions perfectly as a complete guard around the burner and the guard doors (which also have a safety latch) can be opened to add wood and closed up when the baby is about - (adding some large bits of wood would require lifting the guard away to fully open the wood burner door, but it opens enough for normal sized pieces). It is light-weight, yet sturdy, can be attached to a wall on both sides if you want (with the provided fixings) or left free-standing as I have done, as a nearby radiator wedges it in anyway. It also folds up easily for storage and required no assembly. Although it is quite expensive, it is invaluable to me for peace of mind with a young toddler around and a stumble could be the difference between an 'oops' moment and third degree burns! Therefore worth every penny to settle my frayed nerves! It also LOOKS REALLY NICE... which is just the cherry on the cake, highly recommended and so happy that Crannog actually make something that works of this type of wood-burner. 🤩 Review: Fab. Sturdy. It is sturdy and has a way of 'locking' the doors together. Quickly resolved it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Definitely fit for purpose but with some quality defects *by M***H on 13 January 2024* The pictures relate more than words will. The general quality is very good and it is very sturdy and fit for purpose to protect the fire from athletic cats. Only two door magnets, at the bottom, but these are very strong. Came with good wall fittings. A few manufacturing and storage defects detract from the quality though, including some paint chipped off the handle and some not very pretty tack weld points on the front fascias. The reason it really lost a star is for the left door. The metal is clearly significantly warped and does not sit even close to flush like the other one. If the hook is closed, it mostly covers it up but we shouldn't have to work around something like that. We will probably buy two small adhesive magnets to supplement the ones at the bottom, which might sort it.
