I pulled the pin out by mistake (it got caught in the threads of the carpet on the floor). The noise was so ear-screamingly loud that I thought my ears would burn off. Do NOT put the alarm anywhere where the pin can get easily caught.The pin is a lot harder to get back in than it is to get out.
