I have very long thick hair and it is perfect for that. It flexes enough to not get caught but the bristles are sturdy and very soft tipped for your scalp. I had an expensive paddle brush for 20 years before it had to be binned. This one is much cheaper but it's just as good quality. I am planning on purchasing another purple paddle brush very soon I would have liked the handle to be a little more chunky as I'm disabled but it's not a big problem for most people. I prefer to use a barrel brush or a vented hair brush. **Q: Hi has anyone used this without getting for free or discount please and if it will last ect** A: BOUGHT mine July 2014 and it's still going strong. A bit bigger than handbag size, though. Quite a size. No bristles (or whatever you call plastic ones) have broken, either. It has a really nice touchy-feely handle and back too. **Q: Would it be any good for short fine hair please** A: I don't think so I have fine hair but its shoulder length it's quite a heavy and chunky brush if I had short hair I wouldn't be able to use it **Q: why does it have a different colour on the other side of the brush in the picture? is it all pink or just under the brush ?** A: The brush is mostly pink all over apart from the black oval on the hadle that you can see and the mesh that the bristles are embedded in.
