There is no "up" or "down" so were you to print say the top three rows of labels, you can replace the sheet in the printer the other way up to use the other four rows if you need 12 labels or less. Another way is to use it at the end of a run that needs a part sheet eg should you wish to print 70 labels you could load the part sheet at the end. Hope this is some help. **Q: Are these matte or glossy?** A: Thanks for getting in touch. We can confirm that these are matte and have our quick peel feature. **Q: I understand the quickpeel facility but can lables be easily remove after being applied? if not can you recomend an alternative.** A: If you mean after being applied on an envelope or something like a plastic bag (if you are selling something and put a price on), then the answer is no, it is not easy. It is very easy to remove them from their carrier sheet. You download the template from their website. You have a choice of either doing a fancy/logo lable under the Design and Print tab or the standard template that you download. If you're adding your logo and customising the lable by either using your own design or using their designs you don't need to download a template, you just do it all online on their screen. You also have a choice of either doing 1 lable or the whole page or certain number of labels. In my case I did 2. When you press print you get a pdf which you then open and print from. It's important to remember to unchecked the box that says fit to frame. Avery will also remind you of that. I'm sorry if this review is too long, I'm just the type of person that reads all the reviews before I buy something! I can't compare this to other label brands, this is the 1st one I ever bought.
