Its very soft and lovely to use. **Q: Is this any good for knitting a little chunky cardigan for my granddaughter** A: It isn’t very thick - I used mine for tinsel - and maybe a bit “scratchy”. **Q: Would this be suitable to knit a shawl for a bride** A: Yes, it knits/crochets very well and is soft to the touch, not at all itchy or scratchy, apart from the orange which feels a bit “plastic” . I’ve used it a lot, mostly smaller items though. It can be difficult to pull back (frog) if you make a mistake , but mistakes don’t show through the furry texture. The surface of the finished article can be smoothed to lie flat or given a gentle shake will fluff up. This review is for rocket which is red with a purple/blue accent but I now have several colours in this yarn and love them all. There are so many to choose from. Even when I’m knitting with it I feel festive but they are also wonderful for Halloween, soft toys and household items. They are easy to knit with assuming you are paying attention to what you are doing, and being chunky they knit up quite quickly. I am making a paper chain type Christmas garland using this and the Argent colour, which is also beautiful. I was suprised that they don’t shed, which is certainly an advantage over real tinsel.
