You base it on how many ounces you place in the water dish, and then follow the instructions on the bottle. I have answered this question in the past (specifically), but couldn't locate the review. I don't remember other than I did take his water dish that held about 6oz, then followed the instructions on the bottle. for the appropriate amount, basic math to get the right amount. I have tried another multivitamin for their water, but it just wasn't the same quality wise nor nutritional value. I believe this product is a good value for your buck. Also lafeber products are made here in North America. This multi vitamin ensures your loved ones are getting all the nutrients they need for optimal health. And for good measure if they are not getting it through other means. It's a pretty good quality size for the amount, I think this probably will last me Maybe 6 months I'm not too sure but it's good size bottle compared to others I've tried. The instructions on how you can give it to your pets is easy to follow. I've noticed that my birds are more active, happy and they appear a bit more vibrant as well.
