The stretchiness is obviously part of the process, but I think I wasted my money. The only taping that works for my foot is when the PT applies regular tape with my foot at 90 degrees. It's very, very hard to reach over and do it to yourself. This came right off, and I feel I wasted my money, plus it took me the better part of 1/2 hour to figure it out. Maybe if you buy this and take it into your PT, they might be able to apply it for you and it would stay on and work properly.
