## Questions & Answers

**Q: My router does not have the wps button. can you pair this device using a wps pin number?**
A: Hello. Thanks for reaching out for BrosTrend wifi to ethernet adapter. We are resolving the problem for you now.
If your router does not have the WPS button, you can set up and connect the wifi to ethernet adapter via Web UI.
You can use the wifi of your smartphone or tablet or wifi of your computer to connect to the default network (BrosTrend_EXT) of this wifi extender. Please make sure your mobile data is turned off. Then open a browser and login to the web management interface (re.brostrend.com) to set it up. You need to set the login password for the web management interface. You will see a list of wifi networks that BrosTrend wifi extender scans. Select your wifi network and enter the correct wifi key and then click the EXTEND button. After it is set up, you will find 2 extended networks.
Before you set it up, please reset the wifi booster back to the factory default setting by following these steps:
1. Please plug the wifi booster to your electrical outlet near the router, wait until the PWR LED turns solid blue.
2. Then press the RESET button on the bottom of the extender by using a paper clip and then release.
3. You can see that all of the SIGNAL, WPS and POWER LED will flash once at the same time, then the POWER LED will turn back to solid blue. This indicates that your wifi extender has reset back to the factory default setting successfully.
After setting up, there is Internet access on the Ethernet port. Use a cable to connect the Ethernet port to your device, then your device could access the Internet.

**Q: Does this give you wifi or makes your wifi faster**
A: Hi,Thanks for your kind attention. You can plug this dual band wifi adapter to USB port of your computer and pick up WiFi signal from your Wi-Fi network for Internet connection. Different from many other wifi adapters, this wifi adapter support connecting to dual band WiFi network, including the 5GHz band WiFi or 2.4GHz WiFi band. When connecting to 5GHz WiFi band, its theory wireless speed can reach up to 433Mbps*; When connecting to 2.4GHz wifi network, its maximum wireless speed can reach up to 150Mbps.The 5GHz wifi network is much faster thanks the 2.4GHz wifi network because it is more clear with less interference. While many other wifi adapters does not support connecting to the 5GHz wifi network, they support connecting with the 2.4GHz wifi network only, which is very crowded as there are some many divvies working on the 2.4GHz wifi band already.*Please note that the wireless speed mentioned above are the theory speed, the actual wireless speed varies in different physical environment. In order to connect to 5GHz wifi network, your wireless router need to be the latest AC wireless version. Otherwise, you cannot connect to 5GHz wifi band with this dual band adapter and you can connect to the 2.4GHz wifi band only.So you can see that this product can help you to use the 5GHz wifi band for faster speed with the above mentioned latest AC WiFi technology, please note that it is NOT for extending your current WiFi range. In case you need assistance in using this product, please kindly send email to our technical support team at support@trend-tech.net.cnWe will reply to you as soon as possible.Have a nice weekend for you!Allen from BrosTrend Technical Support Team
