I'm sure this is balanced with battery life, which is quite reasonable. I use NiMH rechargeable batteries and get 3 or 4 months before the "low battery" warnings. The batteries that came with the unit lasted about a year, as I recall....? I purchased this unit from "SENCKIT" on Aug 21. By Dec 6th - it completely stopped working. I won't again buy from this company. For the 3 months & 1 week that it DID work - i had it in our bedroom and it appeared reliable - but i had to change batteries every month. Then on December 6th - my Senckit Temp Sensor simply stopped. Not a clue why. What do i mean by "stopped"? When i ask, "Alexa, what's the temperature in the bedroom?" Alexa says, "Bedroom isn't responding. Try checking its network connection and power supply." So i fired up my bluetooth & ran through all the "Fix Protocol" as follows: i remove and reinsert the two AAA batteries. That doesn't work. I press & hold the little reset button for 5 seconds. While it's held down it lights steady Red; and after 5 seconds when i let go - the light goes off. So i press & hold for 10 seconds. When i let go - it stays ON / steady red. It never blinks; it only stays on steady - and during this time, never any connection to Tuya app. Similar attempts with the "Smart Life" app, and the Senckit Temp Sensor doesn't connect there either. I tried new batteries. No dice there, either. I tried double-clicking the reset button - that didn't work. I tried changing the WiFi network. Nope! I asked around in this page's "Customer Questions & Answers" area - and i got NOTHING. Not from Customers; not from the manufacturer 'Senckit'. Ultimately - i threw my Senckit Temp Sensor in the trash where it belongs (glad i remembered first to rescue my fresh AAA batteries!) Learn from my mistake!
