Review: Excellent blade for managing brambles and brush - Excellent blade for dealing with brambles and brush like nettles, dried bracken, young saplings etc. Beneficial to keep the blade sharp (I used a flapper disc so not to remove too much metal) and you'll work out the best way to use the blade, like twisiting the strimmer slightly on the angle when moving side to side or more of a vertical movement for the taller stuff, then running the blade over any large debris laying on the ground. I found that long thick grass can wrap around the wings of the blade and cause it to vibrate due to the weight imbalance but as soon as the blade makes contact with some brush the issue gets resolved. For what it cost, the time it saves and the end result is seriously impressive; wish I bought one years ago. Bear in mind that depending on what your cutting it can throw out some lumpy debris so protect your legs. Not ideal but I removed the guard to reduce the snagging on the brambles so if you do the same make sure you're protected.

**Q: Which way round do you use this is it end tips down towards the ground or up towards the guard**
A: Tips down to the ground, this is what helps it mulch through brambles etc because it chews it up rather than just plain cutting. I've cleared about 2 acres with this in bits and pieces and it just eats through it

**Q: Hi - will this fit a Honda gx25-umk425 please?**
A: You would need to measure the arbor on your machine, the blade has a 1" bore or 25.4mm, which is a standard on brush cutters but there are other sizes 20mm, for instance, is fairly common. If your arbour is smaller you can fit a reducer in fact I think this blade comes with a 25.4mmx20mm reducer so you are probably o.k. unless your machine uses a weird size arbor. Measure it and check first.

**Q: Did anyone get the "clearing saw blade" with their order? the main product title says "mulching brushcutter and clearing saw blade". and picture of it**
A: I've tried several versions of clearing saws blades. They merely slice the brush, where it falls in a pile. The mulching blade blasts the brush to smithereens and shreds it to small pieces. After that, the area is ready to mow. Yesterday, I even cut through a three inch diameter tree by swiping the curved portion of the blade a dozen times against it. The curved portion works like a power chisel and takes off bites each time.

**Q: Would this fit a sgs petrol strimmer? Model number sst260**
A: Not sure. I was advised that the strimmer needs to be at least 40cc because the blade is quite heavy and needs sufficient power to cut through things such as brambles without ruining the machine.

What an amazing bolt on to my strimmer. We have an allotment plot where Brambles are the worst, constantly encroaching on to our plot. This thing spun up to speed on the strimmer and demolished an area of 25ft by 10ft in size in about 15 mins. It shredded the new green plant life and made short work the dead very dried out stuff beneath it. Very impressed by this tool. I did sharpen mine before first use to get the paint off the cutting blades. Highly reccommend. Advice though, make sure you buy the right size for your strimmer, I know you can get diff lengths of this tool, it is a little heavy and takes a few seconds to spin up to speed. I dont know what our strimmer is but its mounted like a backpack for me so carries a decent power.
