It was very effective. It got up all the gunk that was there but it also seemed to lighten the blue color. The size of the spray bottles was perfect for carrying around and spraying the counters. It has a nice lemony smell. I may try to use it in the showers, since It cleans well. Update: I did use it on the shower which is very old and plastic walls. It was stained because I used pink liquid soap which got all over the shower. I sprayed Presto on and left it for an hour. Then I came back and sprayed it again. I used a scrubber then wiped it off with a cloth. One wall that was not stained is nice and bright. The two walls that were stained are a little lighter. The bathroom sink is a little stained from hard water. I will keep working on these. I did not want to use steel wool. After an hour, the house smelled a bit like lemon and I could breathe very well.
