This will let you do it. I thought it was a gimmick when I first heard of stuff like this, and man was I wrong. I use it all the time now. It is to a circular saw what a ruler is to a pencil. Positives for this particular one: the stuff above. It is really light. And the actual measuring ruler comes in handy more often than you’d think. Negatives: it goes down below plywood more than you’d expect, meaning you have to juggle the wood a bit carefully. It’s not a t-square, so it’s doesn’t make itself exactly square without you nudging it. And while it *can* be used on much smaller wood, it’s really awkward to. So the smaller versions of this are better for smaller jobs. But overall, yeah, my cuts no longer look like they’re made by a small child with a crayon. Review: Useful but you’ll need a speed square as well - The reviews are mixed on this one and the biggest issue I’ve seen is it doesn’t set itself at a perfect 90 degree angle which is absolutely true.
