Reason we purchased this item as some accessories were not turning off when turning off the car and that was draining the battery dead continuously. Obviously an electrical issue. So for this kill switch on the fob you turn off when turning car off and turn on just prior to starting car. Works great, no more dead battery and probably saved us a lot of money for a electrical repair on this much older vehicle.
