**Q: Would this be ok for an 8 year old?**
A: No i would say too young! 
More for older children as gives quite a shock.

**Q: What batteries does it take? It says 1 a but I imagine this is a typo?**
A: Mine has x3 AA in the bottom unless they have changed what battery they use. Hope that helps

**Q: Doesn’t seem to shock, any easy fix?**
A: Is the setting which looks like a volume dial turned up. Ours nearly made people think they were plugged into the mains

**Q: Can u use it on yourself**
A: yes - if you have no friends you can play with it on your own , however it defeats the object of the game if no-one can laugh at you or you at them when you get the shock ! : )

Good fun, the music it plays gives the game a lot of suspense. Only slight problem is that it could do with a higher level, even at max the shock is not that great, making it almost anticlimatic. Good game overall though.
