I bought the Aeroccino for that same reason (to replace a worn out Aeroccino on the machine) and it fits fine. **Q: I have just ordered the aeroccino 3 and noticed that base unit and power lead are not included! Presume these are needed to operate the unit?** A: if it comes with out a base its the spare part version, for those who already have the base or with their coffee machine. Best to get one direct from the nespresso accessory website their only £50 with the base. Not sure why they sell them for more on amazon and ebay. **Q: How many whisks does the aeroccino3 have** A: One - the whisk is magnetically driven so there are no moving parts in the milk chamber. Note Zero lactose does not fluff also skimmed milk. Some of the reviews can be off-putting, but I am so glad I bought it. The design is very neat and modern and fits in well in the kitchen décor and takes up hardly any room. Aesthetics aside, the frother will do more than enough frothy milk for two frothy coffees. The selector will give hot or cold froth as required. You get double the quantity of cold froth, but we prefer the hot setting. The quality of froth is good, with semi skimmed milk giving a dense rich consistency. It will work well with skimmed too. I find cleaning is a doddle. Just don't let any milk residue sit , Remove straight after pouring by using a clean soapy cloth and a quick rinse.(Just don't get the electrical contacts wet on the base and you will be fine). The amazon price is still higher than can be achieved on line elsewhere, but I had a gift voucher to use, so went for it. The dealer was very quick and the item was well packaged. full marks there.
