I paid a couple of pounds extra for this version with the aluminium button, but that's purely personal preference. I'm using it to control a 34W fitting and it works a treat. As you may be aware there are some clever electronics inside which give two options for LED usage - Mode 1 (default) & Mode 3. It's easy to switch between the two - but only if you know the secret 'combination' - so read (and retain!) the instructions or look at the [somewhat protracted] video on the Varilight website first.
