I've used them to trim skirting to allow wooden floors to be slipped under (those trim strips look awful!). I've even use these to cut a hole in a car chassis that needed welding but there wasn't enough space for a grinder.They are expensive...the wear quickly but when you are in a bind there are few alternatives.
