Does it actually heat to the claimed 65 Degrees?** A: Yes, I've used mine once and it worked pretty well to keep some party food warm. I can't vouch for 65 degrees exactly but it did get warmer than I expected it too. So much so that the door expanded and made a tight fit to close! All fine again now though. I have the 21 and 35 model of this unit, both of them do the job well albeit 99% of my use is cooling. **Q: did any have to buy a sepperate lead to use in a wagon** A: You get a 12/24V cigarette lighter type lead with a good length cord. You also get a normal 3 pin plug and lead for domestic use. **Q: How much energy does it consume in 24 hours at 12V DC?** A: The manual says it takes about 4 amps from a 12 volt battery. A typical car battery can supply 4 amps for 10 to 20 hours depending on the battery capacity. Once the box has cooled down, the cooling should shut off so these are worst case figures for continuous hot weather operation. In addition, the box claims to shut off before it flattens the car battery, always allowing the vehicle to be started. I have not tested this feature. **Q: I want to wire it to my leisure battery, can anyone tell me what its amp/hour consumption is?** A: Not to sure about the consumption per hour but what I can say is that whilst connect to a 12 volt supply it will run constantant at full power. While I have not fully tested out in the extreme heat yet, my initial tests have show it is working great. Placing warm items into the cooler and placing it on max cooling has worked well.One item to note is that I live in Canada and only will be using this item via DC connection, when I first connected it up the very small fuse with in the 12v asso connection blew and the fuse it not standard. I am not sure how to obtain a new one, so I had to modify the connection with a fuse that is obtainable in Canada. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Waeco Tropical Classic TC-35FL- AC Cool Box *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 22 August 2015* I bought this item to supplement our caravan fridge as we were going on holiday and meeting up with our daughter and family and friends. Originally I looked at another brand sold via a large camping and outdoor retailer but almost every reviewer had a major problem with that item and returned it or got their money back. Additionally most of the other brands cool only to a max of 20 degrees below ambient. I remembered this brand from a 4x4 magazine review of camping fridge/ coolers and searched for this brand on Amazon. Every review I read was positive, mostly from lorry drivers but also from campers too. I ordered this larger model and it was delivered within a couple of days. It is roomy, cooled to 0 degrees from 20 degree ambient in an hour (it is capable of cooling to 30 degrees below ambient) and works 0n 12/24v DC or 240v AC. It worked in the car off 12v on journey down to Wales and was not overly noisy (fan switches off when temp reached). It worked well in the awning with day time temps up to about 25 degrees C and could be turned down for cooler night time temperatures so that the fan was not needed. This model also heats but we did not try that function so cannot comment.
