It was a bit awkward getting it into the knife but with some WD40 and a few gentle taps from a hammer it went straight in. Several years ago I had a spring break on a similar knife to his that I’ve had for decades and I remembered how inconvenient it was as it was often used. The spring is quite a firm fit and pliers were used to aid assembly. Now the knife is back to one hundred per cent and the spring is still firmly attached and works as well as the original one after several weeks of use.
