Some people believe that to be true satin it must be weaved from silk, but that is not the official definition. Typically satin is weaved from polyester when it is on the cheaper side, and silk when it is more expensive. **Q: What is the best way to wash these?** A: I washed on delicate, cold. Dried on a rack. One of the pillowcases a shredded along the horizontal and vertical seams. Unfortunately, I had ordered several bedding items for company coming to stay, I had opened the packages—but did not was until a few days before their arrival. (I now see that I have missed the return date by exactly 7 days). If you have purchased these particular pillowcases, hand wash them in cold and lay them flat to air dry. **Q: Are they slippery?** A: They are not “satiny” and a little coarse compared to other satin cases I own. They are not slippery. Unfortunately I am returning them. **Q: What size is a standard pillow** A: 20 inches by 26 inches ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ LOVE these satin pillow cases affordable and amazing *by on Reviewed in the United States September 10, 2026* i love them so much they look great with the bed and comforter. I got queen pillowcases set of two. i’m recently dying my hair from black box dye and trying to go back to my natural which is close to blonde and i’m trying to take everything in account and help heal my hair after putting bleach on it. satin and silk reduce breakage and acne as well!!! great purchase will be using brand again! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Women Owned Brand! Also Great for Frizzy Hair and Comfort! *by on Reviewed in the United States August 3, 2026* I gave this standard set five stars because I absolutely love everything about them. The soft fabric offers incredible comfort and has noticeably improved my sleep quality. They arrived in very slim packaging, making them an easy recommendation for giftability if you want to buy a set for someone else. The hair and skin compatibility is the best part for me, as they do a wonderful job keeping my frizzy hair at bay overnight. The nostalgia rose shade was an exact match to my expectations and looks lovely on the bed. They also hold up well in the laundry with easy washability. Discovering on the back label that this is a woman-owned brand inspired by a mother's care made the purchase feel even more special. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Smooth and affordable, but these are polyester satin, not real silk *by on Reviewed in the United States August 31, 2026* I purchased these pillowcases on sale while looking for satin or silk pillowcases for the similar benefits people look for with hair and skin. The listing title says “satin pillowcase” and also says “similar to silk pillow cases,” so I can see how it is easy to confuse the wording if you are shopping quickly. These are satin, but they are polyester satin, not real silk. What I like:• The pillowcases are smooth and soft• They have a silky-feeling surface compared to regular cotton pillowcases• The gray color is neutral and easy to use with bedding• They feel lightweight and comfortable to sleep on• They are a decent quality pillowcase for this style• Good option if you want a smooth satin-feel pillowcase at a lower price• More affordable than real silk pillowcases• The sale price made them a good value• They are easy to use as an everyday pillowcase• Nice if you mainly want something smoother than cotton for sleepingThings to be aware of:• These are not real silk pillowcases• They are polyester satin, so satin refers to the smooth weave/feel, not the fiber• The listing title uses both “satin” and “similar to silk,” so read carefully if you are specifically looking for genuine silk• They do not feel as nice or as premium as actual silk pillowcases• If you want the specific benefits of real silk for hair and skin, I would compare carefully before buying• If you simply want an affordable, silky-feeling satin pillowcase, these may still be a good option• I personally would not purchase them again because I was hoping for something closer to real silkOverall:These are nice pillowcases for what they are, but they were not exactly what I thought I was buying. I was looking for satin or silk pillowcases for my hair and face, and while these do have a smooth satin feel, they are polyester satin rather than genuine silk. They are still soft, smooth, comfortable, and decent quality, so I do not think they deserve a low rating. I think 4 stars is fair because the pillowcases themselves are good, but shoppers should understand what they are buying. ## Frequently Bought Together - Bedsure Satin Pillowcases, Similar to Silk Pillowcase 2 Pack, Pillow Case for Sleeping Women with Envelope Closure, Gifts for Women Men, Dark Grey, Queen Size, 20x30 Inches - Utopia Bedding Bed Pillows for Sleeping Queen Size (White), Set of 2, Cooling Hotel Quality, Gusseted Pillow for Back, Stomach or Side Sleepers --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/48594376-bedsure-satin-pillowcases-queen-set-of-2-silky-pillow-cases](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/48594376-bedsure-satin-pillowcases-queen-set-of-2-silky-pillow-cases) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
