**Q: What depth of door is this for? Want it to be flush? Can anyone help**
A: With regards to the door being flush... it sits outside of the doorframe by its nature. It’s not tight against the frame but I improved the look of how it sits by removing the standard architrave from the outside frame and replacing it with square edged planed wood with thicker wood down the closing side for the door to ‘butt’ up to. I also cut 2 small channels across the vertical frame on the opposite side for the bolt heads on the back of the door to run through.
It was worth the effort as it looks great. If you leave the standard architrave in place it will look ‘gappy’ all around.

**Q: Does the door just hang or is there a bottom track that the door fits onto?**
A: There is no track on the floor but it does have a piece you secure at the edge so the door can rest in there when it slides back.  You need to cut a small groove in the end of the door so it fits.  My builder likes the design.  Hope that helps.

**Q: Would it be possible to attach a wooden ladder to these fittings instead of a door? I'm trying to make a simple sliding ladder system for high shelves**
A: I believe it should be possible, with a little thought🙂.
There is a little lateral play at the wheel end you could possibly use to get a slight angle on the ladder. When fitting to a door the door is attached via a groove along the bottom to keep the door from wobbling around and moving outwards.

**Q: would this be suitable for hanging a (door size) sheet of 12mm softwood ply?**
A: Thanks for your message and interested in our Barn Door Hardware. 
The item comes with 2 sets of bolts of different lengths to adapt door thickness ranging from 1 3/8" to 1 3/4", and avoid bolts that are too long to scratch the wall, or too short to finish the assembly.

We bought this to hang and sliding door between bedroom and bathroom. It looks really good, easy to install and is strong and feels safe. We were building the stud wall when we purchased this so we were able to put reinforcements in the wall where we needed to install this to hang the door, otherwise i'm not sure how you do it? Get lucky?

To tell you the truth I was not expecting something very fancy but after i receive the sliding barn rail i notice the quality for the price is excellent. my Home is very old so all the wood frame did need some preparation before install but if you know what you doing the results can be astonishing. I couldn't be more happy with the final results. very easy install, easy clean and very secure.
