I had extremely dry, cracked lips that kept bleeding, but this has helped to protect my skin while it heals. It doesn't smell at all and lasts a long time (albeit a bit sticky when you first put it on, but I hardly notice it). I tend to use it in the morning and before bed. If a bit comes off, I use another regular lip balm, and the effect lasts longer without an oily feeling.
