Review: Easy to use - Excellent product. So easy to use and minimal clearing up compared to other fuel and easier storage. I am elderly and find log splitting hard work now and for warmth in afternoon and evening this is effortless.

They’re 1) easy to light 2) don’t spark or snap 3) leave very little ash They do produce a little bit of smoke but it’s important to ensure the paper wrapper is burned away sufficiently. I normally light it at both ends then a couple of bits in the middle. The only time a log really produced a lot of smoke was when I added it to the fire without lighting it. I suspect it started burning within the wrapper but didn’t really produce any flame. Easy solution was to light the wrapper to burn a bit of that away. I suspect anyone saying they smoke a lot is having a similar problem. The only negatives with these logs are the price but if you are only burning for aesthetics and not to heat a back boiler or room then it’s not too bad given the convenience factor.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How much heat do they give out?**
A: They are very hot, burn fantastic just in there own, but I put in the flame fast log then add coals around the bottom and 1-2 extra normal hardwood logs and it keeps burning for approx 3 hours and the heat is immense.

**Q: Can these be used in a fireplace which doesn't have an open chimney?**
A: Don't burn anything like this in a room without a chimney, properly vented stove or similar.  You risk finishing yourself off with carbon monoxide poisoning if you burn anything without proper ventilation.

**Q: Is this product ok to use on open fire indoors ?**
A: We’ve been using them for years in a regular fireplace.  We also use the catalytic chimney cleaning fire logs to prevent buildup in chimney. As with all open fires, have chimney swept to draw efficiently and safely.

**Q: Do you just chuck the pack in the wood burner?**
A: Yes. Do not even open the pack. Light with a long match or a long lighter. Use them one at a time an patiently wait a few minutes for the flames to cover 6 the complete log. Enjoy.

Excellent product. So easy to use and minimal clearing up compared to other fuel and easier storage. I am elderly and find log splitting hard work now and for warmth in afternoon and evening this is effortless.

If you have an open fireplace then these are great. They’re 1) easy to light 2) don’t spark or snap 3) leave very little ash They do produce a little bit of smoke but it’s important to ensure the paper wrapper is burned away sufficiently.
