Review: This brad nailer is simply amazing - Wow! This brad nailer is simply amazing! I am a keen DIYer who likes the put my hand to many things and having this tool in my arsenal is making the world of difference. I did quite a bit of research before committing to buying a nail gun and this one came out on top every time. It comes in a bright orange plastic case with lubrication oil and an alan key. Everything in the storage box has its place so you don't have anything floating around damaging things. The nailer itself comes with the newer euro airline fittings which are shorter and fatter than the older style 1/4" fittings. I only have the older 1/4" fittings so it was a simple case of unscrewing the fitting it came with and screwing the older one in. I am running my compressor at 90psi which is below to maximum this nail gun can cope with and it works perfectly with good nail penetration into a variety of wood types. Loading the gun can't be simpler and there is a handy indicator to let you know when you're out of nails. I've used 20-50mm nails and so far not had a single jam. If it does jam the handy quick release function allows the jam to be cleared easily. Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase. I am currently contemplating adding the 64mm finish nailer to my collection too. ## Features - SEMI-PROFESSIONAL BRAD NAIL GUN – Air operated brad nailer supplied in a durable carry case, designed to bring speed and precision to a wide range of woodworking and second fix nailing tasks - COMPATIBILITY - Efficient quick release, bottom-loading magazine enables firing of 100 x type 180 (18G) / 20 - 50 mm brad nails without reloading; we strongly recommend using Tacwise nails for a smooth, uninterrupted performance - MAXIMISED PERFORMANCE – Offers a contact trip (bump) firing mode and comes equipped with a unique depth control adjustor for precise nail countersinking while the 360Β° adjustable exhaust port and high durability driver blade offer a 2.0m/sΒ² vibration emission level for peak performance - 1.2KG ERGONOMIC DESIGN – Robust, super lightweight design incorporating an anti-jam, quick release nose gate, whilst the safety contact tip, non-marking nose and soft rubber grip provide security and ease of use - VARIETY OF APPLICATIONS – Semi-professional pneumatic brad nailer for a range of second fix applications including furniture/woodwork assembly, cabinetry, skirting boards, sub-flooring, door frames, fencing, panelling as well as sauna, shed, cabin, caravan and boat manufacturing - AIR COMPRESSOR REQUIRED - Operates between 60 -100 PSI for fast and accurate nailing (compressor not included) ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B006XBTADS | | Best Sellers Rank | 93,996 in DIY & Tools ( See Top 100 in DIY & Tools ) 161 in Staplers & Tackers | | Brand | Tacwise | | Brand Name | Tacwise | | Capacity Description | Full Strip | | Colour | Orange / Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 826 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 05051439001767 | | Included Components | 1x Air tool oil, 1x DGN50V, Blow mould carry case, Operators Manual | | Item Dimensions L x W | 32.7L x 27.6W centimetres | | Item Type Name | Air Brad Nail Gun, Uses Type 180 (18G) / 20 - 50 mm Nails | | Item Weight | 2.12 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Tacwise | | Manufacturer Contact Information | Tacwise Group PLC, Kent, UK | | Manufacturer Part Number | DGN50V | | Material | Stainless Steel | | Material Type | Stainless Steel | | Model Number | DGN50V | | Number of Fasteners | 100 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of fasteners | 100 | | Operation Mode | Automatic | | Product Style | Single | | Product Warranty | 1 year | | Product dimensions | 32.7L x 27.6W centimetres | | Style | Single | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Tacwise - **Colour:** Orange / Black - **Material:** Stainless Steel - **Number of fasteners:** 100 - **Product dimensions:** 32.7L x 27.6W centimetres ## Images ![Tacwise DGN50V Air Brad Nail Gun, Uses Type 180 (18G) Nails, 20-50mm - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71bAyiOaQIL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: I want is to fix ship lap timber to repair a stable, I would like to use 50mm stainless nails, will this gun be powerful enough ? Pt no for nails ?** A: If the timber is a softwood i.e. pine it should manage it ok. Never having used 50mm nails in this gun I can't guarantee that it'll be fine but this is a pretty powerful gun and sometimes shoots the nails right through 1/2" boards requiring a drop in pressure. Best o' luck! **Q: Will this run on an airbrsh compressor [ fox hunter as18k 1/6hp ]** A: It requires a Compressor of between 60 psi and 100 psi. I have looked at your Compressor's specs. I can't see it's rating from the description making it difficult to say if it can power this hand tool. I would advise you check if it is between 60 and 100 psi to ascertain compatibility. **Q: How do you adjust the counter sink depth** A: There is a small adjustment wheel below trigger near nail holder. I tend to adjust air pressure on regulator at compressor end whilst trying on scrap wood. **Q: What nails to use on skirting to block wall** A: 50mm will work ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Faultless *by A***R on 8 June 2026* Very pleased with it.
