About 30% of the pages are taken up by the 'rules' of the Death Note, and another 10% of the pages are taken up by the names of the victims Light Yagami wrote down within his notebook; with his exact handwriting. Thus, if you're expecting a fully-clean notebook simply with the outer shell of a Death Note, this isn't for you. There are still 90 clean pages for you to use however you like though. Also, these notebooks have sadly lost their power. So don't waste a page writing down the name of someone you hate... it'll only be a waste of ink... I should know... I saw Nicola Sturgeon on live TV yesterday... Why buy a boring notebook with a flipping cat on it or something when you can buy a notebook with this amount of detail for the same price?

**Q: ...and are the instructions inside etc. is the book lined or plain?**
A: I can also confirm yes the rules are written inside and the paper is lined. But if I were you, don't make the deal for the Shinigami eyes, you just end up seeing everything in a red tint all the time and spec-savers will claim you're delusional and then the staff there will probably all die of heart attacks and you're just sat there trying to figure out the difference between a red and blue pen....

**Q: is the writing in English**
A: Yes its mainly all in English. On some of the pages however, there is some Japanese writing for effect to make it seem more authentic.

**Q: does it include the fake rules in the back of the book?**
A: The book contains all rules as a foreword before giving blank(ish!) pages for you to put the names into the notebook

It is good as a cosplay item in my opinion, but if you have ADHD or a neurological disorder and this may seem like an interesting thing to own, I suggest using it as a diary before bed. It really helps me to sleep!
