Buy Tokina AF 100mm F/2.8 Macro AT-X 100AF PRO D - Nikon at desertcart UK. Review: Brilliant! - As sharp (or sharper) than the Nikon 105mm and only half the price. It takes great photos of flowers and insects and also would be great for a fixed focus portrait lens or for landscapes (use your feet to zoom!). This is my second Tokina AT-X Pro series lens (the other is the 11-16 superwide) and they both perform superbly and are real bargains. I love my Nikon DSLR bodies but the lenses are a bit pricey. These are much more affordable with no loss of quality. What's not to like? Review: Excellent Lens - Excellent Macro Lens. Good quality build, solid feel to it. I'm just getting into photography and by no means an expert but having looked around at sample images and other reviews I opted to purchase this and I don't regret it at all. Images and colours are really good and much cheaper than similar offerings from other manufacturers. I'd happily recommend this to anyone wanting to give macro a try. ## Features - Macro lens capable of life-sized (1:1) reproduction - Closest macro focusing distance 11.8 inches (30 mm) - Suitable for DX and full frame DSLRs - One Touch Focus Clutch Mechanism - Includes 55 mm non-rotating filter thread ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000CMNL52 | | Audio Recording | No | | Best Sellers Rank | 204,498 in Electronics & Photo ( See Top 100 in Electronics & Photo ) 2,802 in Camera Lenses | | Box Contents | Len, Lens Hood | | Brand | Kenko | | Brand Name | Kenko | | Camera Lens | macro lens | | Camera lens description | macro lens | | Colour | Black | | Compatible Camera Models | Nikon DSLR cameras | | Compatible Devices | Nikon dSLR, Nikon SLR | | Compatible Mountings | Nikon F | | Compatible mountings | Nikon F | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 710 Reviews | | EU Spare Part Availability Duration | 2 Years | | Exposure Control Type | Automatic | | Fixed Focal Length | 100 Millimetres | | Focal length description | 100 millimeters | | Focus Type | Auto Focus | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04961607633946 | | Has Self-Timer | No | | Image Stabilization Type | Digital | | Item Weight | 490 Grams | | Lens Coating Description | Multicoated | | Lens Design | Zoom | | Lens Mount | Nikon F | | Lens Type | Macro | | Lens type | Macro | | Light Sensitivity | 100 | | Manufacturer | Tokina | | Manufacturer Part Number | 633953 | | Maximum Aperture | 32 f | | Maximum Focal Length | 100 | | Maximum focal length | 100 | | Media Type | ProductImage | | Minimum Aperture | 2.8 f | | Minimum Focal Length | 100 | | Model Name | AT-X M100 AF PRO D | | Model Number | T01-D100MN | | Model Series | AT-X M | | Number of Diaphragm Blades | 9 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Photo Filter Size | 55 Millimeters | | Real Angle Of View | 30 arcmin | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Viewfinder Type | Electronic viewfinder | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | | Zoom Ratio | 1 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Kenko - **Camera lens description:** macro lens - **Compatible mountings:** Nikon F - **Focal length description:** 100 millimeters - **Focus type:** Auto Focus - **Lens design:** Zoom - **Lens type:** Macro - **Lens-fixed focal length:** 100 Millimetres - **Maximum focal length:** 100 - **Minimum focal length:** 100 ## Images ![Tokina AF 100mm F/2.8 Macro AT-X 100AF PRO D - Nikon - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/613K25HBVWL.jpg) ![Tokina AF 100mm F/2.8 Macro AT-X 100AF PRO D - Nikon - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71mESK7o5iL.jpg) ![Tokina AF 100mm F/2.8 Macro AT-X 100AF PRO D - Nikon - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61DqKu3zGOL.jpg) ![Tokina AF 100mm F/2.8 Macro AT-X 100AF PRO D - Nikon - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31rnIhkvd+L.jpg) ![Tokina AF 100mm F/2.8 Macro AT-X 100AF PRO D - Nikon - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/21RBLxLZkxL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does anyone know what the weather sealing is like on the lens?** A: You need to go direct to tokina help desk or your local camera shop to answer this question I would imagine it depends on what level of weather conditions you are looking to utilise the lens most are general weather resilient **Q: Does this autofocus when on the D7000?** A: The D7000 has a focus motor, so it will auto-focus on your camera. **Q: Hi,will this work okay on my Nikon d7100, I understand it’s a full frame lens. I would like to use it foe portraits.** A: This is a beautiful lens, and works just fine on a Nikon D7100. Good for portraits and macro. Full frame lenses are fine on a smaller sensor; DX lenses will work on a full frame but there will be loss of coverage. Remember crop factor of 1.5 - same field of view - although not really magnification - as a 150mm lens. **Q: I have noticed that this lens is not provided with an image stabilizer. Is not this an impediment? Is not it hard to use? Thanks for your suggestion** A: I mainly use this lens for macro and portraiture with off camera flash and a tripod so the lack of image stabilization is not important. The image quality is superb. Auto-focussing is slightly slow, but something I can live with. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant! *by B***W on 24 March 2013* As sharp (or sharper) than the Nikon 105mm and only half the price.
