Is this fda approved? Thanks :-)** A: Sorry do not know😐 **Q: Is this a high melt wax?** A: Not sure what you mean as this is my first time making candles. The wax melts really well for me in a little metal pan on the hob. I also fill a previously bought glass candle holder with the wax beads & stand it in a pan of gently simmering water on top of the hob. That works well too for me. I can then remove from the water bath & start stirring in the fragrance oils as the wax cools. The last thing I put in are the 2 wicks & hold in place with 2 cocktail sticks on each. I dip the cocktail sticks in wax so they sit firm on the edge of the glass & hold the wicks tightly. I hold briefly the base of the wicks to the base of the glass. Sets ok. Just have to top up if it sinks on top & I use a hair dryer to help smooth the top once set. Simple, nothing fancy, just for my enjoyment. **Q: Can this be used for wax melts? Do i have to add stearin?** A: Sorry. A shame that you can't melt it in the microwave, but I guess you can't help it as its parrafin wax (I didn't know this so keep in mind if you purchase this wax you have to use a double boil / alternative method as the wax doest absorb microwave radiation). It sets quickly and does the job well. Good purchase thank you.
