However, If you want to use it as a contrast on say a filagree ring or pendant, where it would be protected by the intricate surface, then I believe it could last for some period of time. **Q: Can you use this for faucet fixtures?** A: It would provide a nice finish but would not last with use. **Q: I have an iron bed that I’d like to enhance. Will this be durable once dried?** A: Yes, but I would spray with a clear lacquer just to make sure it doesn't rub off in wear places. It dries to touch - it doesn't feel or look like wax once you put it on. **Q: Will it work for metal door hinges ?
