Is this really the max weight?** A: The recommended weight is 400lbs. We move American Fridges, which are just shy of 200kg . I should think you could lift over 200 kg, or as much as you can lift with your legs . Great bit of kit. **Q: Can these be used to carry a large table top on its edge, it can not go through doors carried flat.** A: It was not easy to balance a mattress on its side. I think the thinner the item the more difficult it will be to balance it. It will ease the weight to carry heavy items but your back may hurt afterwards. If you are used to carry heavy objects this will help to reduce the weight pressure and back pain. Also, the shoulder strap it is easier to use if both people are of similar height and strength and I found the straps too thin cutting into our bodies making it uncomfortable to use. **Q: Straps underneath. Saves you’re back, saves losing the skin on your hands, and makes lifting even very heavy load a breeze. We bought American American fridge freezer weighing at 130 kg, which wouldn’t fit through our front door had to be moved into the street, along the Rd. through a neighbours garden across our garden and a into the house, a journey of nearly 100 yards. Okay, it was done in six lift, but as you can see from the video it really takes the strain and keeps your hands-free to balance the load. Previous reviewer said that the buckle wouldn’t hold a load, this will happen if you have it on backwards! Thread the strap through the buckle the right way, pull it down and bring on the load slowly and it lock the strap in the buckle and will then not move or slip. Well made, very sturdy.
