Review: Most comfortable hiking shoe ever - This hiking shoe is my new favorite! I usually like to put at least twenty miles on a new pair of shoes before I do any serious hiking or walking. These Merrell Moab 3 hiking shoes were delivered just two days before I left on a trip to Moab, Utah to do hiking in Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. I was only able to get about seven miles on these shoes before my trip. They fit perfectly and are true to size. No need to break in this shoe. The Vibram soles are amazing on my plantar fasciitis. I was able to hike to Delicate Arch and several other hikes. They had great traction on the slick sandstone. I put in about fifteen miles of hiking the first day in Arches NP. These shoes helped my feet feel their best. I have the Moab 2 Waterproof hiking shoes as well and I love them, but when I’m not in cold or wet climates, the waterproof shoes get too hot. These Moab 3 shoes are perfect for dry hiking. I put about thirty miles on them in three days of hikes, and my feet never got sore or even achy. I will definitely purchase these shoes again.
Review: Pretty comfortable - I have purchased Merrill shoes in the past. These shoes seem to be of the same quality as those I bought years ago. They seem to be authentic Merrill shoes. I usually wear a size 8 shoe. My heel to toe measurement is 9.5 inches. I purchased a size 8.5 and they fit perfectly. I have approximately 3/4 of an inch between the tip of my big toe and the toe of the shoe. I like a little bit of room so I don’t experience discomfort walking down hills. The shoes have an ample toe box without the heel being loose. The sole is stiff which I prefer in a hiking shoe because I feel it gives me more stability. I walk 10-12 miles daily. I wear out shoes like nobody’s business so I’m always on the lookout for a good pair of shoes at a reasonable price. These shoes are at the top end of my budget for shoes but I think they might last a little while. The color is a cute light lavender. An added bonus because I would have purchased them regardless of color. I’m happy with my new shoes.
